I came across a feature in the new Finder in the latest iteration of Apple’s OS, Leopard. If you hold the option key as you mouse over the quicklook button in the toolbar of the window, it changes to a play button, allowing you to play a slideshow of the files you select instead of viewing them in the semitransparent quicklook window. It is pretty barebones, but nice for an impromptu slideshow.
